Thanks everyone for keeping me company in 2010! Happy New Year to all!

Happy New Year, everyone!

As the turn of another year let's thank the Good Lord for showering us with blessings how big or small they may be. Let's be thankful as well for the problems that we have solved and surpassed with flying colors in 2010. These trials have made us stronger one way or another.

I may not be attending mass or read the Scriptures regularly, but I pray from the heart. And I know that God, my God, continues to keep and protect and blessed everyone in my family and those close to my heart.

For the year 2011, I will only pray the same prayer for everyone, including my online and offline friends, and my family - that we will all have Peace, Good health and Success.

My prayer includes the working and stay at home moms like me - who earn from online projects, let's pray for more assignments this year. I heard from one popular company that they will be giving out more assignments this year. This means that we will have our hands full in the coming days. And we are thankful for that. I am thankful.

Let's welcome the New Year with a PRAYER

Granny's birthday

My grandmother could have been 94 years old if she were alive today. She and our maternal uncle took care of me and my younger sister when my mother was away to work and support us...

Preparing for the New Year

1 friendly remarks
I want to share this Smart Start tips from www.nestle-cereals.com.  I regularly receive an e- newsletter from Nestle.

Christmas is also the perfect time to look back at the past year and see how your children have transformed since then. Though regrets and troubles may easily invade their thoughts, parents can help remind them of the importance of loving and hoping. This way, they can turn any disappointment into opportunities and possibilities to better themselves.

You may want to help them list down resolutions for the New Year.
Changes they wish to take on with their personality, the relationships they have with others, their daily routine, and improvements toward living healthier are among the many things they can include in their list. They can also list down and celebrate the accomplishments they’ve achieved in the past months, no matter how big or small. This way they can repeat and even outdo such successes. Here are some questions you can ask your kids to help them fill up their list!

  1.  What were the highlights of my year?
  2.  What could I have done to make them better?
  3.  What do I want to achieve next year?
  4.  What is the first step I will do so that I move towards my goals?

It’s really fascinating how the end of each year can also bring about a beginning of sorts. After all, looking forward to the future does matter. Various possibilities await so now is the perfect time to inspire your kids for the upcoming New Year. What better time to spread love and joy to others? What better time to love ourselves more? What better time to begin transforming ourselves into something better? Through your help, you can truly make December the best time for your children to make a Smart Start.
