Got this funny line from Anger Management
There are two kinds of angry people: Explosive and implosive
"Explosive is the kind of individual that you see screaming at the cashier for not taking their coupons. And implosive is the cashier who remains quiet day after day... until finally shoots everyone in the store."
So what kind of angry person are you? I won't divulge my answer LOL.

Liquid vitamins for my joint pain
Our paediatrician has recommended a generic brand of multivitamin and mineral supplement for my kids. It is replacing the branded vitamins that they used to take. The generic multivitamin is also complete with vitamin C and zinc; both nutritional supplements help boost my kids’ immunity against cough and cold. I’m considering taking the same capsule one of these days. I'm also checking on these liquid vitamins that I saw while doing my online activity. According to the site, the liquid supplement helps relieve joint pain, decrease body fat and yes this is the best part (thrilled), reverse the aging process. But before I jump on the bandwagon of the latest supplement craze, I try to read as many information as possible about the product or if previous studies were conducted to prove their claim. According to the site, these liquid vitamins contain 29 essential vitamins and mineral and 72 trace minerals (dietary minerals). It further claims that liquid vitamins are 700 percent more absorbable than tablet vitamins. If ever I'm going to try it one day, I want to prove its “efficacy” in relieving joint pain (I have this terrible leg pain which is killing me for weeks now.). If you are interested about it just visit their site by clicking on the link within the post.
Mommy Moments - Welcoming my baby brother
Becoming a mom for the first time is an answered prayer for my family. I have a miscarriage before my firstborn, so you just can imagine the stress that I experienced to conceive normally. We were very happy when my daughter was born. When I learned that I was pregnant for the second time, it was a mixed emotion for me and my husband. We were not actually planning to have another child soon. My daughter was more than a year old and my body needs time to recover from the previous pregnancy. But since another life was forming inside, who are we to complain. It was another gift from God and we should be thankful for the present.
The result of my ultrasound doubles our excitement. We are going to have a baby boy this time. We plan for two kids and now we have a pair. We're very happy and we can't ask for anything more except for a healthy child and safe delivery.
As for my daughter, I think I have prepared her for the coming of her sibling. I would tell her how much mom and dad love to give her a brother and playmate. I would let her touch and kiss my tummy as a way of building the bond between her and her unborn sibling.
She loves her brother so much that she wants to be by his side every time.
She wants to say 'we love this little guy here. no one can take him away from us'.
Play time with little err heavy brother
'We only have each other when mom and dad will no longer be around for us.'
I just love these guys! You're the greatest thing that ever happened to my life.
More mommies are definitely excited to share their experiences this week so head on to Chris' site for more entries at Mommy Moments.
Something to make him happy
It's very rare that I give material things to my husband not even on his birthday. What we do on special occasion is that we would dine out and spend the day with our kids. But this year, since I'm already earning from my online stints, I'm planning to give him something useful. I'm glad my online friend brought up this Valentine's Day ideas for men so I will not have a hard time thinking of what to give him. It's only a matter of days before Valentine's Day and I have to think of something to give my better half beginning today.
Hmmm. How about giving my husband a wristwatch? I saw an elegant wristwatch in an online store. I hope I have enough fund in my paypal account to buy the watch for him. But if my money is not sufficient to buy the watch, I might give him an electric hair clipper. He can use that to maintain his buzz cut. I saw him searching for inexpensive but sturdy brand on the Internet the other day. Maybe it’s a nice alternative gift idea for him. But the wristwatch is still on top of my wish list for my honey this year.

Safety first
Traffic signs are important to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and to avoid accidents. In construction sites, safety gears are given to workers to protect them from falling debris. Safety signages are a must in construction areas to keep pedestrians off the dangerous side of the road due to an ongoing job. If you are working in a construction company and you are looking for online store for safety vests, traffic cones and ear plugs and muffs, trafficcones.us is the best place to visit. The site is a one-stop shop for safety products such as safety cones, signs, traffic barrels, barricades, and reflective safety products that you can get at affordable prices. They specifically cater to road side jobs, construction sites and in places where safety gadgets and signs are needed such as schools and hospitals.
Trafficcones.us has excellent customer service department to entertain all queries regarding their products. If you have questions regarding roadside emergency kits, they will suggest safety kit, triangle kit, light sticks, and sandbags. These are must-have tools when you are driving your own car. In case of unforeseen accident, these safety tools will show that you need emergency assistance. Did I mention anything about the price yet? You can order traffic signs from them for only $15.95 and traffic cones start at $8.50. All of their products come in safety information for easy consumer use. Aside from the affordable products, the site boasts of their timely delivery schedule. Consumers are happy that they get their money's worth.

Pehpot Paparazzi
What's the latest buzz about Pehpot?
Heard that she bagged an award for her family and parenting-oriented blog last year and as if she's not busy performing her mommy duties, and maintaining her eight blogs, she is also co-sponsoring the biggest blog contest along side the equally gorgeous and brainy mom blogger Kaye. But that news was like 10 years ago lol. The latest if you may ask is that she is joining this Real Leaf Paparazzi contest. See what the green tea can do for her. She created this magazine to underscore the benefits of Real Leaf green tea to anyone.
Read all about it to find out how Pehpot is energized every time she drinks Green Leaf. You may drop a comment or two here before you visit her site and tell me anything about Green Leaf.

The figure to die for
I used to be slimmer when I was younger. I only got this big when I became a stay at home mommy to my two kids. Household chores don’t have an impact on me. I think this has something to do with my lifestyle now and my eating habit. I can walk a mile then and it feels good when you perspire from walking, but now I’m tied in front of my desktop most of the time. So everything that I eat went straight to my hips lol.
Staying fit is on my wish list this year so I really have to work hard to reach my goal. I'm considering exercise and then dieting. Since I'm normally spending most of my spare time in front of the computer, a grab and go food is best for me. Are meal replacement bars, okay? Someone gave my husband diet cookies last year and it taste good. I think meal replacement bars work the same way as the cookie diet. I want to try some bars later. As for the exercise, I have to keep a strict schedule on my blogging activity to give an ample time to exercise. I'm looking forward to see myself slimmer this year.

When will they ever learn
I'm glad I was able to have a little chat with an old friend on Facebook. He is now based in San Francisco. Part of our conversation went something like this. By the way, I'm getting his reaction regarding the increasing HIV cases among young professionals (particularly those working in the call centers and citing group sex through the internet.) He is directly involved with HIV/AIDS support group here in the Philippines.

Dancing inmates of Cebu
Inmates' new dancing masterpiece was choreographed by Travis Payne, the same person who directed the dance movements in "This is it"! Love this video!
This is it is available in CD, DVD and Bluray disc, worldwide.
She gets praise for her talent
I’m watching the video that I'm telling you about earlier. It contains instruction on how we (the project team including me) go about the translation job that is coming hopefully soon. And before the new assignment will make me super duper busy I will share with you how thankful my daughter is for all the comments and praises she is getting for her drawings that I previously posted for Mommy Moments.
Blogger friends said that her sketches of human faces and animals are detailed just like the works of professional artists. There were comments encouraging my daughter to continue her hobby. Some were wondering if she is currently enrolled in an art school or if we have plans of enrolling her in one. I’m looking at the possibility this summer. A state university in our place is supposedly giving art classes for a minimal fee to young students. I’ll try to check if they will organize an art class this year.
Going back to my daughter’s love for drawing, art books have helped her slowly hone her talent. She gets pointers from published artists. I remember requesting her to design the logo or header of my previous blog layout. I also consult her regarding the correct images that I should post in my site.
With all the positive comments she is getting, my daughter has every reason to be happy and inspired (to draw) these days.

Prospective work at home
I met my former officemate and her husband last Saturday to discuss about a prospective project in the coming days. It’s another translation job. My friend and I have been working on similar projects since 2006. She said this one is a bigger project compared to the ones we have completed in the past.
I might be out of the system (blog hopping, etcetera) for a while (except for writing some opportunity perhaps) since I have to study this translation tool that my friend gave me. I might not be able to join my Marces Kaye and Pehpot's biggest online contest (sorry guys) as studying the 'tool' will require me to watch the instructional material from the video. Meeting the deadline is also very crucial in this project so any blogging activity in between might not be possible.
We haven’t discussed anything about the payment yet prior to the arrival of the project. But since my friend said its 'big' I’m also dreaming big here. I hope it (project) will help me save for the repair of our home. I have posted about our leaking roof even before the devastating typhoon Ondoy hit our country last year. The roof and ceiling in our bedroom and living room badly need repair job. I’m sure it will require a considerable amount of budget to finish especially if it is handled by experienced Builders.
I’m a little excited and nervous at the same time for our new project and thankful to my friend for making me a part of her team. My blogging activity will be put aside for a while, but I'm sure my friends will understand.

Car care101
Even when we don't own a car yet, hubby has learned to drive a car through his brother who used to own a Volkswagen. Hubby got the hang of using the old car while driving around our neighborhood. My BIL also taught my husband when its time for the car to have a brake job. It is necessary to learn everything there is to know about cars and their parts to run well, not just how to drive the vehicle.
Talk about driving a car, I admire the mom of my daughter’s classmate who is now working in Dallas, Texas. She was able to buy a Chevrolet Silverado from her years of working in the Big Apple. I got the chance to visit her daughter’s Face Book account and saw the photos of her new car. It's a sturdy and lovely car. I asked hubby if such car is easy to maintain or requires low maintenance. He said that brand new cars will have minimal care need, but it all depends on how the owner takes care of it. But if the car is pre-owned, you really have some kind of preservation effort to keep it running for a long time. Good for her (the mom of my daughter’s classmate) she lives in Dallas so she can easily avail of the services of Dallas auto repair shop. I heard the shop offers quality car care for a reasonable price.

Blogging syndrome
Hubby was telling me a while ago to prepare our dinner. "Ok, tapusin ko lang ito (writing opps) then post ko na lang," I told him.
A couple of minutes later, I requested the hubby to re-heat the soup. Instead of telling him to turn the stove on, I blurted, "Dy, paki-click na lang 'yung kalan."
I-click ko? Ano 'yan blog syndrome?!
Hehe. Talking of blog addiction here. Ha? Sino? Ako, adik? Hmmp!
I just took the test and it says...
77%How Addicted to Blogging Are You

10 Signs You Might Be Addicted to Blogging
10. You check your blog stats a LOT. You occasionally get up in the middle of the night and sneak a peak.
9. Your significant other suspects you are having an affair with your blog. Even when you’re alone with your special person, you do find yourself thinking what your blog might be doing right then…
8. You “mental blog” while driving or on the train, and sometimes even when you are alone in the shower.
7. You filter everything through your post-writing. You can’t watch a movie, see a play, read an article, or share a sweet moment with your child without thinking of whether it’s blog-worthy.
6. You suffer from “blog envy” when another blogger posts something juicy before you do. You suffer “comment envy” when said post gets 40-something comments – the jerk!
5. You “binge blog” 3 or 4 posts at once—only to feel guilty and empty afterward.
4. You ditched all your real friends for blog friends, because, well, “they understand.”
3. You think, “I can stop at any time.”
2. Your lunch hour has become your “blog hour.” You keep a few posts tucked in your desk in case you need them during the day.
1. After 5 minutes of meeting someone really interesting you ask, “So - do you blog?”

Friday Photo Flashback # 38
Its been a while since my last post for FPF, and its already Sunday arrgh! Anyway, I'm with my girl friends here. We were covering the DOH beat in the mid 1990's. It was, I think, our Christmas party and one of my friends was jokingly holding condoms while having our picture taken. I had so much fun with my friends then. I haven't seen them in person for five or more years? Thanks to social networking sites that I was able to reconnect with them.
Join us at FPF by clicking on the badge right here. Thanks! Hope you have a great week ahead of you. :)

Love is in the air
Hubby and I are never used to giving personal gifts to each other. If ever we exchange gifts, the item is usually intended for use and enjoyed by the whole family like the laptop that I’m using now. Although I’m using this computer the whole time, kids and hubby can take their turn using it, which is when I do some household stuff lol.
I haven’t thought of giving hubby anything this Valentine’s Day, until I saw this fabulous seiko kinetic watch while browsing online. I can’t take my eyes off this watch. I need to have it for my hubby. For all his hard work and the caring and mushy stuff like that, I think hubby deserved to own a manly watch like this one. So elegant.
It’s not the material thing that makes hubby happy, but the thought that I remember him on the occasion itself. I just want him to know how much I appreciate him and enjoy the ride with him. Advance Happy Valentines’s Day, hon!

I need to have it for my hubby. For all his hard work and the caring and mushy stuff like that, I think hubby deserved to own a manly watch like this one. So elegant.

Anything soft
I’m thinking of rewarding myself and my kids with a little something after I received my earnings from my writing stints last month. It’s not a big amount though but enough to make my kids happy. And you know what makes them happy? Yes, toys! I think they will never outgrow playing with stuff toys to while the hours away from playing computer games or doing their assignments. My son even goes to sleep cuddling the toys he got for Christmas.
My kids also love to have a pet dog, but since we can’t afford to have one at this time, I’m thinking of giving them an equally loveable and huggable jellycat pup. They can carry it whenever and wherever they want without having to worry about stinky poop lol. Oh, I fell in love with the site’s collection of stuff toys. They look so very delicate and I’m confident the materials used in the stuff toy won’t trigger my son’s asthma. This will surely be a hit to my kids once they see them online.
I might also get my kids some appaman tees. They look so very comfortable to wear because the fabric is made of cotton material. I prefer cotton shirts as active wear for my kids because they are comfortable and the fabric doesn’t cling to the skin when they sweat.
Of course, there will be something for me and hubby. I’ve been looking for this at the department store but nothing comes close to the quality. I’m talking about barefoot dreams bamboochick throw. Hubby and I love to watch movie and since its cold these days, these throws are just perfect to keep us warm while spending time together. How sweet.
The next item on my shopping list will be this Barefoot Dreams Women’s BambooChic Hoodie that I fancy. I’m sure it’ll look good on me. Wanna bet? :D

Mead Johnson, Maker of Enfamil, Loses Multi-Million Dollar False Advertising Case Against Store-Bran
This is a sponsored guest post written by a Press Release on behalf of PBM Products. Post powered by Sponzai.
GORDONSVILLE, VA., December 2 , 2009—PBM Products, LLC, a leading infant formula company that supplies store-brand infant formulas to Walmart, Sam's Club, Target, Kroger, Walgreens, and other retailers, has received a favorable jury verdict and a $13.5 million damages award in its false advertising lawsuit against Mead Johnson & Co., the operating subsidiary of Mead Johnson Nutrition Company (NYSE: MJN) (“Mead Johnson”), the makers of the national-brand Enfamil® LIPIL® Infant Formula. Mead Johnson is 83 percent-owned by Bristol-Myers Squibb.
PBM’s lawsuit claimed that Mead Johnson engaged in false and misleading campaigns against PBM’s competing store-brand of infant formulas, suggesting they do not provide the same nutrition as Mead Johnson’s brands. PBM’s store-brand infant formulas cost up to 50 percent less than Enfamil® LIPIL®. The $13.5 million in damages awarded by the jury in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia is one of the largest damages awards ever for a false advertising case.
“This decision by a jury of the people confirms that Mead Johnson’s ads have been false in suggesting that there is a nutritional difference between our store-brand formula products and their products, when in fact the only major difference is price,” said PBM CEO Paul B. Manning. “Despite Mead Johnson’s scare tactics, parents are assured that PBM’s formula products are as high quality and nutritious as Mead Johnson’s.”
U.S. District Court Judge James R. Spencer issued his written rulings yesterday following the November 10th jury verdict. Judge Spencer’s written rulings permanently enjoined Mead Johnson from making any false statements concerning PBM's infant formula, including the claims Mead Johnson previously made in Enfamil advertising that "It may be tempting to try a less expensive store brand, but only Enfamil LIPIL is clinically proven to improve brain and eye development," and "there are plenty of other ways to save on baby expenses without cutting back on nutrition." The Court also ordered Mead Johnson to retrieve from the public domain all advertising or promotional materials containing these or any other false claims about PBM's store brand infant formula.
The details of the decision and the complaint are posted online in full at:
The nutritional supplements under examination in the case are two fats, DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and ARA (arachidonic acid), which Mead Johnson calls “LIPIL®” solely for marketing purposes and touts as promoting infant brain and eye development. PBM’s claim focused on Mead Johnson’s direct mailing to more than 1.6 million parents of an alarming blurry picture of a child’s cartoon duck next to a clear picture of the same image which suggested that anything other than the Enfamil LIPIL® blend of ingredients is inferior and will result in poor eye and brain development. Other parts of the false advertising campaign consist of statements that only Enfamil LIPIL has been proven to confer visual and mental benefits on infants, and store-brand formulas are a “cut-back in nutrition” compared to Enfamil.
PBM successfully argued that these advertisements were false and misleading especially since PBM store- brand infant formulas have the same nutrients at the same levels as Enfamil. PBM infant formulas are formulated to contain DHA and ARA, and are sourced from the same supplier in amounts which equal or exceed the DHA and ARA in Mead Johnson’s Enfamil LIPIL®.
This decision marks the third time PBM Products has sued Mead Johnson for false advertising claims. On the prior occasions Mead Johnson admitted that it made false claims about PBM’s products. It is also the first false advertising case to focus on the issue of DHA and ARA nutritional ingredients in formula, which were introduced into the market in 2003 and have become a staple in recent years by many brands as key components for infant development.
“This jury verdict should send a significant and clear message to Mead Johnson about the way it conducts marketing and advertising for its brands,” said Manning. “This lawsuit also demonstrates our complete commitment to defending our products and the valuable brands of our retail partners.”
“As a parent and supporter of children’s medical research, I take a personal responsibility in assuring our customers that the products we produce are healthy and nutritionally equivalent to brand names like Enfamil® LIPIL®. It is important, especially now, for parents to know that there are lower priced yet highly nutritious store-brand formulas that will provide the same benefit to their children as any national brand name formula product,” Manning added.
The U.S. infant formula market is estimated at $3.4 billion and the global market is estimated at $7.9 billion.
All of PBM’s formulas, and for that matter all of U.S. infant formulas, are subject to the exacting standards of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), pursuant to the Infant Formula Act of 1980. This legislation vested FDA with the authority to ensure that all infant formula products sold in the United States provide the necessary levels of identified nutrients required for the growth of healthy babies. For more information, visit this FDA link.
PBM Products was represented by the law firm Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP. Partners from the firm’s advertising practice, Harold P. Weinberger and Jonathan M. Wagner in New York, led the team.

Say thank you thru party favors
I’m not good at organizing parties especially when the occasion calls for a big attendance like baptismal gathering. So we opted to celebrate the baptism of our two kids in a restaurant where the venue enough to hold our guests down to the food served is taken cared for us. During those times I had no idea of the importance of party favors or keepsakes to give out to guests such as our friends, relatives and loved ones who truly made the occasion meaningful for our children’s entry into the Christian community. Sadly we don’t even prepare any token to remind our guests of the occasion. But if it happens today where I’m more exposed to this kind of occasions, I would love to give our guests with delicious-looking Lollipop Cake Towel favors as our ‘thank you’ gift to them. Now I know what to give my future guests in case I throw a simple party at home let say for my coming nth birthday?
Greeting cards from friends
I received two Greeting cards the other day. One card came from Mommy Clarissa of Kizuna and the other one from Mommy Rose of Rose's Obstacles and Glories. My SIL handed the cards to me while I'm busy preparing our lunch. It's been a while since I last received greeting cards from friends. I'm so touched by your gesture and your well-wish for my family. :)
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless both of you and your respective families.

We want to try Direct TV
My kids have been requesting us to have a cable connection at home. They missed a lot of US TV shows like Hannah Montana and Glee which are shown locally through cable subscription. They were able to watch some episodes while visiting our relative who owns a cable TV. If we are to subscribe to a cable company, we want to make sure that it has over 150 digital channels including, of course, our favorite local channels. I don’t want to miss the rerun of “Boys Over Flowers”. *wink* I heard from blogger friends that direct tv is giving this kind of package for $55.99 per month. Who would not grab such an offer knowing the good reviews made about Direct TV Service?
Compare the benefits of Direct TV with your cable or dish network
We inquire about direct tv further and discover that their clients have access to 130 plus channels including my favorite HBO in overwhelming HD (high definition). I will have the chance to watch the movies that I’ve missed on cinemas. Hubby is already excited about having our own Direct TV Satellite System because he will have access to several sports channels such as ESPN GamesPlanTM, ESPN FULL COURT, NBA League PassTM, and MLS DirectKickTM. I can see from where I’m writing this post that he is grinning from ear to ear as I told him about this amazing offer from direct tv. Hubby is practically glued on our TV screen whenever NBA games are shown. But since basketball games are sometimes scheduled for airing by our local channel here, he missed a lot of games from his favorite NBA team. That’s too disappointing for him. Patience dear, owning a DirectTV Satellite will be our next project this year once we have all our bigger obligations settled. For now, we have to work and work some more in order to achieve what we want for our family. :)
